I really liked this ep. Unpredictable killer (though maybe there were a few too many twists and turns; Sherlock accused three people before getting to the real culprit), Sherlock being there for Joan, Bell getting a little more to do, it was all pretty solid.
This was a fun episode--I really liked how they went through this long list of characters as possible killers. And there were some great Sherlock lines, as always. I thought the Sherlock-and-Joan storyline was a little predictable, but in a way, that's a good thing; I know the characters well enough to know what they'll do.
I also loved that Bell got some more screentime and we learned some more about him. And Sherlock learning something from Joan because it may be useful! And him sitting with her to wait for Liam... who, of course, never showed.
The only thing was the reunion with the wife and the teaching assistant she was having an affair with. I found that a bit... I don't know. It was strange to me. One minute she's going to be deported; the next, she's reunited with her lover?
I enjoyed it, although I'm getting a little impatient with the writers doing the big reveal, oops, big reveal, oops... what happened to it being a mistake to theorize without data? And I solved it -- correctly -- when we found out the guy who actually did the shooting had been hired. :(
Liam was an interesting bit of background, and at least explains why Watson's taken on this job.
Really enjoyed the episode. Getting to learn why Joan works with adicts was awesome. And of course Liam didn't show up, but of course Joan even knowing he wouldn't had to wait 10 more minutes. Also enjoyed learning more about Bell. Loved sick!Sherlock he was too funny.
