Fantastic all-around episode. I also love that we got to meet some of Watson's family, and that her mum knows her daughter isn't happy with her job and is encouraging.

Wish that Sherlock's tendencies to violence to get what he wants was explored a bit, though. It may be a nod to canon, but it's still a bit discomfiting, IMO.

The episode didn't feel like a mid-season finale. Maybe because there was no cliffhanger?

I did enjoy it though, the mystery was fun and intriguing. I am liking that Sherlock doesn't always get it right the first time. I also liked getting to meet Joan's family and the cab ride conversation was awesomesauce! Can't wait for January 3.

I was a bit underwhelmed with this episode, TBH. It was quite anti-climactic as Sherlock solved the heist. I dunno, the episode lacked momentum for me.

I wish there was more screen time for Joan's family! I was disappointed that they didn't get more into what happened with her brother. Ah, and Joan only really had two scenes with her mom. I hope they bring her family back for future episodes.
