For a September-May season, there have to be breaks inserted here and there. Otherwise, the season finale would've aired last week (or this week, had Elementary not gotten the post-Super Bowl timeslot), and there'd be six months' worth of reruns.

Anyhoo. There's a new episode next week, then another two week break for college basketball, then from April to the season finale, ALL NEW SHOWS.
