I loved this episode so much! I suspected that Sherlock would stay strong and not cave to temptation, but the struggle was still so compelling to watch. His reaction when Rhys offered it to him made me feel so proud of him. I love this show for avoiding putting Joan in situations where she needs to be rescued. This would've been a good setup for it, but it was handled so beautifully, and Sherlock's obvious distress when he heard the gunshots, ahhhh <3

I also loved that even though it was obvious Sherlock knows about Joan lying to him, and she knows he knows, they didn't need to talk about it. What a simple, lovely end. The symbolism of Angus getting demolished, and Sherlock not bothering to finish putting him back together because he knows he won't need him again, so subtle and perfect :)

Nice observation about Angus, aww. One thing I just realised about the scene where Sherlock hears the gunshots: he yells 'Watson'. Not 'Joan'. I guess that's what he's used to calling her. It's probably what he'll always call her.
