He went on and on. Not stopping. Motor mouth her Mom would've called it, and with the excitement of a small child in a sense. Glancing over at him with his five o'clock shadows and scruffy hair she knew she was not going to let Mom know what she was doing now: looking after a brilliant but narcotic English men who despite the adorable accent was bat shit insane instead of ... well it didn't matter anyway. This was all she has currently: fast-talking insane Englishman. Was he ever going to stop? Probably not, he was still a bit shaky and if this kept him clean - oh - and now he was looking at something on his phone, scrolling rapidly.

She had only wanted to get some bloody milk, not end up at a crime scene, be dragged to various office buildings ...

"Watson!"

He grabbed her shoulder, stopping her abruptly, spinning her to face him, his eyes bright.

"I know who did it - the bank clerk clearly - oh like you would have any idea - we don't have time!"

And with that he ran off.

She couldn't help but sigh, struggling to hide the hint of a grin that threatened to take over, chasing after him.

THESE ARE EXCITING TIMES WE LIFE IN! <3

I'm even getting headcanon ... in BBCSherlock, Sherlock is ice, pure ice. John is like the flame. In this version I see Holmes as being the fire - destructive and sparking in different directions, while Watson is more reserved - like ice. Yeah, elemental reversal me so original. I'm not even sure if that makes sense but it does in my mind.

Actually, judging from the pictures and the spoiler that was posted recently, that makes total sense. In my head Holmes is a bit like an overexcited puppy looking for approval while Watson is the indulging owner that goes "yes, yes" absent-mindedly most of the time but secretly adores him.
