Who the hell was Mycroft talking to??!! I find myself not liking him too much right now! I do like how they continue to make reference to Sherlock's recovery. It has a nice continuity to it. All and all, I thought it was a nice solid episode.

WHO WAS MYCROFT TALKING TO? I HAVE AN EXTREMELY VERY NOT GOOD FEELING ABOUT THIS.
(JAMIE?)

Loved seeing Joan take some charge of this case for once. *nods*
Wish Sherlock had mentioned Alfredo, Ms. Hudson, the people at Hemdale, and Alistair (at the very least!) when talking about his support system, though.

I do hope its a nod to canon.

Not sure what Mycroft is up to.

The case was pretty obvious. Again. I'm not sure why it is, that the writers manage to make us care about the main and recurring characters, but suck so much at making us (yes, I should better say 'me') care about the people of the cases at all. The cases and the characters involved in them need some serious work. Although I admit that might be a problem with the format itself. Since this is pretty much the only show of this kind I watch, I can't compare it to others of the genre.
I liked the ending a lot. The last scene with Sherlock and Mycroft was getting way to schmoozy for my comfort, so I was very relieved to find out there was more to it than that. Also, Mycroft's act of the reformed older brother who only wants to reach out to Sherlock would have bored me to tears in the long run. There has to be more to their relationship and difficulties than Sherlock behaving like a petulant toddler just because he wants to. So this promises to be much more interesting :)
Where are Alfredo and Mrs. Hudson? :(
What's up with the eggs, Sherlock? That is a horrible waste of food.

Though it would be a surprising twist if Mycroft had ties to Jamie Moriarty and her criminal empire.

It's actually Lestrade on the other end of the phone. He wants Sherlock back so that he can continue his doses of Fame. Mycroft wants Sherlock back for his own reasons but is cooperating since they fall in line with Lestrade's.
