The mystery of the week lost me after about half the episode. Loved how they worked Bell's return into the episode, though. I thought it was interesting that Sherlock chose a more confrontational method of trying to help Bell as opposed to his previous, more meek attempts.
Seems like they're going on another hiatus though. Can anyone confirm?
bb!Joan was into the mafia?! EXCELLENT. Headcanon is she owns pretty much every mobster film in existence and wrote a term paper about the NYC Mafia when she was in high school for a history class or whatnot.
Give JLM and JMH some Emmies.
Case was basically a plot device to get Marcus back into Major Case and away from the racist Demographics department, but I'm cool with that.
Did anybody not see this coming--that Bell's new boss was dirty--from the very first time he showed up on screen? Apparently my parents didn't think so until this episode, but I sure thought he was sleazy.
Loved Bell coming back to the department. This show has such great characters.
The real-life department itself is dirty, full stop. Demographics is notorious for racial profiling and that sort of grossness. My initial thought before this episode was it would be Marcus who would learn what the hell Mycroft is up to, but that's not going to happen.
