Date: 2013-02-15 08:11 am (UTC)I'm glad they've dealt with the "Joan lying and staying" issue. And it's completely in character for Sherlock to be more happy that she wanted to stay than upset that she lied about it.
And, yay Bell! It's nice to see episodes that focus characters other than Sherlock and Joan. As much as I love them and their dynamic and all, I think making the police a bigger part of the story, and making police officers fully fleshed-out characters is a good thing that recent versions of the stories have started doing (I like it in Sherlock, too). As long as Sherlock and Joan (and John in other versions) are going to work with the police, even only every once in while, it works better to have them be characters we know and can relate to rather than just random uniforms that Sherlock outsmarts and butts heads with.
