I'd really like to see a woman detective or sergeant as a regular, filling out Gregson's staff.

Agreed. Having more women regulars would be nice. Joan is amazing, but she's the only female character who gets involved in the meat of the stories. Her therapist shows up from time to time, but isn't involved in the cases (nor should she be, of course). It'd be great to have a female cop or someone who actually interacts with Joan and Sherlock in the course of their cases.
