Never been a fan of Watson/Mycroft ship, and nothing in this episode changed my mind. Especially since, after telling Mycroft off for lying, Joan seemed entirely too ready to leap into bed with him. Yes, she did find out that he rejoined MI-6 to keep Holmes safe, but it doesn't negate the very valid point she made earlier - that he should have been honest with his own brother.

But I liked the episode overall, and I thought that it was actually a exciting cliffhanger to end on. I'm legitimately curious to see how it pans out.

Wow, I am seriously beginning to doubt the writers because I don't know where they are going with all of this!!!

I am happy that Watson is exerting her independence and not letting crime-solving take over her entire life. However, her reconciliation with Mycroft makes very little sense to me? Her jumping to speaking in terms of 'we' with him seemed extremely premature?

I know that ultimately this is a show about (Sherlock) Holmes and Watson, so obviously it is highly unlikely that it will suddenly become a team of three with Mycroft in the mix. Their partnership is unravelling and I honestly don't know how it will be repaired in one episode???

I don't really know what to think anymore. Last week's episode was good and exciting, even though I found Sherlock being so very obvious in his distress overdone. The revelation about Mycroft's MI6 involvement was nice, especially because Mycroft playing dumb was entirely unbelievable.

And now we are seriously expected to believe that Sherlock wasn't only in the dark about Mycroft's true career but also about his mental capacity, even if they are estranged. Come on, that is ludicrous.

This episode should have been about Joan, but despite the fact that she finally managed to tell Sherlock about moving out, everything turned out to be about Sherlock and Mycroft instead. Sherlock and Joan's reunion was disappointing. Although I have to say, that the fact that Mycroft went back to MI6 to protect Sherlock was apparently enough to make everything else suddenly okay and to not only jump into bed with him but also introduce rather terrifying talk of 'we' and 'our' was so much worse. What on earth are they doing with Watson? I can only hope that all this was nothing but some wild life-affirming monkey sex after a traumatic experience and she will snap out of it in the next episode.

Also West's wife knowing so much about his work and neither Sherlock or Joan batting an eye? She's probably an agent herself and the mole on top of it. Otherwise that would be ridiculous, even considering West's illness.

I really don't know what to think when it comes to the writers, first they have Joan make this brillant speech about how she trusts Sherlock despite all his faults , then within the last 15 minutes of the episode she ends up in Mycroft's bed.

At least I saw that I was right about Mycroft being involved with MI6. That was keeping with cannon somewhat.
But I seriously hope for two, no three things:

1. That Sherlock does thrash his brother within an inch of his life.
2. That Sherlock tells Joan how he really feels about her (and not just as a friend)
3. That Joan wakes up and realizes just how awesome Sherlock is, and gives Mycroft his marching orders. :-)
